The Telstra Marketing Academy® (TMA) project ... has been running at your school for the past 4 months or so... I am pleased to say that Karen Norrie from your school nominated her Year 11 business studies class to take part.
As part of the TMA there was a competition between schools in Central Western NSW to create the best advertising campaign for a Telstra product. I am pleased to advise that your Year 11 Business studies class was the overall winner for Central Western NSW. This achievement is a tribute to Karen and her class for the hard work and effort that they have put in.
All too often these days we hear about issues and problems with youth-in our society, I can say without question the maturity and humour that the Year 11 class displayed is a credit to themselves, your school and Grenfell. It gives me great confidence that the future of our region and in fact of our nation is in the hands of individuals of the calibre of Karen and the young adults in her class.
Please pass on my best wishes to Karen and the Year 11 business studies class for their future, which I am confident is a bright one.
Regards,

Sixty schools and over 1000 students across Victoria participated in the Telstra Marketing Academy® program, designing a marketing campaign for a particular market segment, promoting a new Telstra product.
Students worked in groups of 3 or 4 and a total of 15 teams from various schools were selected by Telstra to advance to the Interschool competition ... where the students presented their marketing strategy to a panel of judges and audience. Three overall finalist teams were selected including a team of students from The Peninsula School.
Congratulations to Abby McCarthy, Henry Brett and AJ Banks from The Peninsula School for making it to the final three and congratulations to the overall winning team from Holmesglen Vocational College in Moorabbin.
